Domestic Goat (Capra aegagrus hircus)
The Capra’s horizontal slit-shaped pupil serves as the inspiration for this piece. The oval travertino-like top is intersected horizontally by a rammed earth centered support structure.
Made from sustainable materials, they offer a tactile and visual balance. The collection celebrates adaptability and sustainable design.
Materiality
Rammed Earth-Inspired Composite: A bio-based resin mixed with clay and natural additives (for reinforcement) to mimic the layered appearance of rammed earth, while providing durability.
Travertino-Like Composite: A blend of bio-based resin (similar to the legs) with mineral fillers (ground limestone and marble dust) with a water-based sealant to replicate the look and texture of travertino stone.
Collection
Each piece blends structure and organic curves, with an integrated bowl-like feature on top for display and functionality.
- Capra : Inspired by the goat’s horizontal slit-shaped pupil, this table has an oval travertino-like top with a horizontal rammed earth support structure.
- Vulpes : The Red Fox table takes inspiration from the fox’s vertical slit-shaped pupil. It features a dark rammed earth leg cutting through an elongated oval travertino-like top.
- Anablep : This table represents the Four-eyed Fish’s double pupils. It has two rammed earth legs, one larger for extra support, passing through a large oval travertino-like surface.
- Anablep Fry : The Anablep Fry table is inspired by the younger stage of the Four-eyed Fish. It features an inverted design with a larger leg perpendicular to the oval-shaped top.
- Euprymna : This table reflects the squid’s round pupils. The travertino-like top has an oval cutout, with a rounded rammed earth leg rising through it.
